Zyl

Zyl, also referred to as Zylonite or cellulose acetate, is a lightweight plastic. It can be molded, or laminated with different colors in different layers. It is used in sunglass frames because of its lightweight property and also because it is inexpensive. Zylonite has been around since the 19th century where it was used to make hand mirrors, combs and brushes.
